May 15th Daily Review on Polyester Prices

 

Today, the semi-dull chips keep steady in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, China. Leading manufacturers stabilized the quotations. Leading quotations are around 10350 Yuan/ton by cash. There were some inquires in the early market today.

 

Today, the PTA market is still stable in North China. Leading quotations on market is around 8600 Yuan/ton. The downstream bidding price is 8500 Yuan/ton and the practical discussions are around 8550 Yuan/ton. The market is mild and lack of negotiations.

 

Today, MEG price dropped in the market. Quotations in domestic market decreased to 7450 Yuan/ton. In the overseas market, the price is around 985-990 dollar/ton and the practical discussions are around 980 dollars/ton.

 

Today, the polyester staple fiber continued to be weak and leading manufacturers keep the quotations unchanged. At present, 1.4D direct spinning PSF is quoted 11050-11150 Yuan/ton.
