May 14th Daily Review on Polyester Prices

 

PTA: Today PTA price keep stable in North China. The quotations on market are around 8,600-8,650 Yuan/ton, the downstream bidding prices of manufactures are about 8,550 Yuan/ton and the practical discussions are near by 8,600-8,650 Yuan/ton. The trading atmosphere is cold and with little practical transactions.

Futures: Today PTA futures open slightly lower in China-Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange. The contract 1209 opens at 8,330 Yuan/ton, falls 22 Yuan/ton compared with the closing price of previous trading day. In addition, the cotton futures also open slightly lower in ZCE, now the contract 1209 opens at 19,695 Yuan/ton, drops 245 Yuan/ton compared to the closing price of previous trading day.

PFY: Today the prices of polyester yarn tend to be stable as a whole in Xiaoshan, China. Parts of POY products begin to reduce slightly in a local leading manufacturer, while others are unchangeable. Now the quotation of DTY75D/72F is 14,800 Yuan/ton, POY100D/36F is 11,400 Yuan/ton, and POY150D/144F is 11,300 Yuan/ton.

PSF: Today the centre of leading quotations for polyester staple fiber also continues to be consolidated. Among which the prices of 1.4D direct spinning PSF focus on 11,150-11,250 Yuan/ton. However, the quotations of PSF are in a stalemate in East China. At present, the prices of 1.4D direct spinning PSF focus on 11,050-11,150 Yuan/ton.
