May 8th Daily Review on Polyester Prices

 

 

Futures: Today PTA futures open slightly higher in China-Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange. The contract 1209 opens at 8,492 Yuan/ton, increases 4 Yuan/ton compared to the closing price of previous trading day. However, the cotton futures open slightly lower in ZCE, now the contract 1209 opens at 20,780 Yuan/ton, falls 115 Yuan/ton compared to the closing price of previous trading day.

PFY: Today the prices of polyester yarn go stable in Taicang, China. Now the quotation of POY150D/144F is 11,500 Yuan/ton in a local leading factory, and FDY50D/24F is 13,300 Yuan/ton.

CPL: Today RMB spot market of CPL is cold in China. The supplier quotes the goods for 20,800 Yuan/ton, the downstream bidding prices are about 20,600 Yuan/ton, and the practical discussions are near by 20,600-20,700 Yuan/ton.

PTA: Today PTA price goes weak in North China. The quotations on market are around 8,700-8,750 Yuan/ton, the downstream bidding prices of manufactures are about 8,650 Yuan/ton and the practical discussions are around 8,650-8,700 Yuan/ton. The trading atmosphere is cold and the practical transactions are scarce.
