May 7th Daily Review on Polyester Prices

 

Futures:Today PTA futures open slightly lower in Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange. The contract 1209 opens at 8,550 Yuan/ton, which decreases 18 Yuan/ton compared with the closing price of previous trading day.Meanwhile, the cotton futures open lower in Zhengzhou Commodity Exchange. The contract 1209 opens at 20,980 Yuan/ton, which drops 30 Yuan/ton compared with the closing price of previous trading day.

Spandex:Today the price of spandex keeps stable in China. The transaction is general but there are some inquiries. Now the price of 20D keeps at 56,500 Yuan/ton and 40D is 43,500 Yuan/ton. The quotation keeps firm in the market.

PET Chip:Today the price of semi-bright polyester chips keeps stable in Jiangsu & Zhejiang market. The price is unchangeable in leading manufacturer. Now the leading negotiating price is about 10,400 Yuan/ton. People take a wait-and-see attitude in the market.

PFY:Today PFY price follows the stabilized tendency in China-Shaoxing. Now the cash quotation of FDY75D/36F is 12,210 Yuan/ton in a local leading manufacturer, FDY100D/48F is 11,910 Yuan/ton and bright FDY75D increases to 12,100 Yuan/ton. The manufacturers reflected that the sales were flat last week and the production and marketing was about 50%.
