The total index of chemical fiber products and fabric increases slightly, which the main reasons are the sales of fabric market rise again after a fall and the orders begin to increase. Especially, the imitated silk fabric presents the best-selling trends. However, the orders of polyester taffeta and polyester pongee which show the general performance as the sales force in the market and batches of transactions are insufficient, so the index of fabric just increases slightly. Moreover, the index of raw material continues to be downward because the sales of fabrics are general in the market, the inventories of gray fabrics are difficult to digest for weaving manufacturers in early days. The enterprises are cautious about purchasing the raw material, and many raw material manufacturers sell goods at low price for promotion under the inventory pressure, but the psychology of “buy hike, not drop” in downstream market leads to the decline of the sales. Therefore, it is affected by the decline of price and volume, the index of raw material continues to drop.

See from the fabric market, the amount of sales is general in overall market and the amount of sales for cotton interweaving products is relatively good. For example, today a C/N elastic poplin fabric sells well. It is reported that this kind of fabric uses the raw material 50S*70D+40D, and the finished products have the characteristics of soft and full flocking feeling, appropriate character and thickness etc. The density of the finished fabric is 160*70, width is 50” and the weight of it is about 105g/m2. At present, the wholesale price of the fabric is 18 Yuan/meter or so. It is used in various kinds of medium and high-grade leisurewear and especially is suitable for shirt fabric, fashion, jacket, trousers material and so on. As for the operating rate, now the operating rate of water-jet loom and air-jet loom is about 70%-80%.
