November 22, 2011- Polyester Yarn Price Kept Decrease in China

The polyester yarn price is downtrend in Jiangsu. The local melt spinning manufacturer decreased the quotations of semi-dull FDY products by 300-400 Yuan/ton and bright FDY products by 100 Yuan/ton, while cut DTY products by 200-600 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted FDY 50D/48F for 13900 Yuan/ton by cash and bright FDY 50D/36F for 14900 Yuan/ton. A leading direct spinning manufacturer decreased FDY products by 200 Yuan/ton and quoted FDY 75D/144F for 13400 Yuan/ton and DTY 150D/144F for 14500 Yuan/ton. The other manufacturer quoted bright FDY 40D/24F for 13900 Yuan/ton by cash and FDY 50D/48F for 13500 Yuan/ton. Another leading FDY manufacturer stabilized the quotations and quoted bright FDY 40D/24F for 13900 Yuan/ton and FDY 50D/48F for 13500 Yuan/ton. Polyester yarn prices kept steady in Taicang. A local leading manufacturer quoted POY 150D/144F for 11500 Yuan/ton and FDY 50D/24F for 13200 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported that the inquiring atmosphere was weak in the early market.

The polyester yarn price turned weak in Zhejiang market. A local manufacturer in Xiao Shan decreased rough denier of FDY products by 100-200 Yuan/ton generally and decreased the close price of POY products. Now they quoted FDY 150D/96F for 12000 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/48F for 11350 Yuan/ton. Another POY manufacturer stabilized the quotations and quoted POY 75D/36F for 11250 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/144F for 11350 Yuan/ton. Manufacturer reported that yesterday’s production-marketing was around 150%. The polyester yarn price is mainly steady but weak in Shao Xing. A local leading manufacturer adjusted the price of FDY 150D/96F for 11600 Yuan/ton. The polyester yarn price is unchanged in Tong Xiang. Now a local leading manufacturer quoted DTY 150D/144F for 14400 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/144F for 12650 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers said yesterday’s sales were good and the production-marketing was balanced.
