November 1, 2011- Low Cost Drove Polyester Yarn Price Slump

    The polyester yarn market continues to be weak in Jiangsu today. Now a local melt spinning manufacturers in Shengze generally decreased the products by 200 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted DTY 75D/72F light web for 17900 Yuan/ton and FDY 50D/48F for 16000 Yuan/ton. Another manufacturer stabilized the quotations and quoted FDY 50D/24F for 15600 Yuan/ton with 6-month acceptance and FDY 50D/48F for 15100 Yuan/ton. The quotations also decreased in Taicang. Now a local manufacturer cut 100 Yuan/ton for the products and now they quoted POY 150D/144F for 13450 Yuan/ton and FDY 50D/24F for 15000 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported that the production-marketing was around 70%.

    The polyester yarn price kept dropping in Zhejiang market. One of the leading manufacturers in Xiao Shan decreased the FDY products by 100-200 Yuan/ton generally. Now they quoted FDY 50D/24F for 15000 Yuan/ton and 75D/36F for 14100 Yuan/ton. Another POY manufacturer decreased the products by 100 Yuan/ton generally. Now POY 75D/36F is quoted 12900 Yuan/ton by cash and POY 150D/144F for 12900 Yuan/ton. The polyester price kept steady in Shao Xing market. Now a local manufacturer quoted FDY 63D/24F for 14200 Yuan/ton and FDY 150D/96F for 13200 Yuan/ton. However, the price is still negotiable in real trades. The polyester yarn price was downtrend in Tong Xiang. Now a local leading manufacturer generally decreased the products by 100 Yuan/ton and now they quoted DTY 150D/48F for 14500 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/144F for 13450 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported the sales fell recently and yesterday’s production-marketing was around 80%.
