October 14, 2011- Polyester Yarn Price Is Consolidating in China

The polyester yarn price keeps unchanged in Jiangsu Market today. The overall polyester yarn prices went down in Shengze. Now a local direct spinning manufacturer decreased the DTY products by 200-300 Yuan/ton and quoted DTY 150D/144F light web for 16800 Yuan/ton by 6-month acceptance and DTY 75D/72F light web for 19200 Yuan/ton by 6-month acceptance. Another melt spinning manufacturer stabilized the quotations and quoted DTY 150D/144F light web for 17000 Yuan/ton. The polyester yarn price is mainly stable in Taicang market. Now a local polyester yarn manufacturer quoted POY 75D/72F for 15000 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/144F for 14200 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers in Taicang reported that yesterday’s production-marketing dropped to 50%.

The polyester yarn price is also stable in Zhejiang Market. The price went weak in Xiao Shan market. Now a local POY manufacturer generally decreased the quotations by 100 Yuan/ton and now they quoted POY 75D/36F for 13800 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/144F for 13600 Yuan/ton. Another manufacturer keeps the quotations unchanged and quoted FDY 66D/24F for 16000 Yuan/ton. The manufacturers reported that recent sales were normal and yesterday’s production-marketing was only around 50-60%. The polyester yarn price continues to be weak in Shao Xing market. A local FDY manufacturer generally decreased the quotations of rough denier products by 100 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted FDY 150D/96F for 13900 Yuan/ton. The manufacture reported that recent sales were weak and most manufacturers were pessimistic about the afterward market. The polyester yarn price keeps steady in Tong Xiang market. Now a leading manufacturer quoted DTY 150D/48F for 15050 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/144F for 14100 Yuan/ton by cash. The manufacturers reported that the production-marketing reduced to 90%.
