168Tex News: Poly filament yarn price dropped in the week. Early of the week, the overall price is stabilized, but for the low stock level, some plants’ quotation up regulated. While on Tuesday, for the downstream demand weakened, some plants’ quotation down regulated. Then, for the lack of bullish factors, crude oil and PTA futures price slumped and downstream buyers are mostly overwhelmed with wait and see attitude, thus poly yarn price down regulated all fronts.
FDY price dropped by 200-300CNY/t in the week. In detail, FDY 150D/96F sales well for the driving force of a big demand of Oxford fabric. FDY68D/24F, 75D/36F fine denier products also sales well on the market. FDY50D/48F six-month acceptance is offered at 17900CNY/t by major plants.
DTY price reduced slightly by 100-200CNY/t. In detail, DTY100D/144F, 150D/144F, 288F and etc sales well for the driving force of a big demand of peach skin fabrics. DTY150D/288F six-month acceptance is offered at 18100CNY/t.
POY price dropped by 200-300CNY/t. The main reason for its price reduce is mainly due to draw texturizing fabric demand decreased. Especially in Taicang, a major texture city of China, where the draw texturizing machine operation is just around 50%. POY150D/144F acceptance price is 15100CNY/t at the weekend.
Due to a prudent material procurement, poly yarn price is universally downward. But still the stock mounted up. Currently, most plants FDY stock amount is around 4-5 days, POY amount is around a week, and DTY stock amount is relatively higher, which is over a half of month.
Now poly feedstock price comes down, yet its downstream price is still dull for a high stock in the weaving plants. Thus mostly hold wait and see attitude. Besides, the aftermarket is universally not well regarded, which indicates that poly yarn price will probably come down soon.
