According to CNCRC, the output of cotton is expected to 7,400,000 tons in China in 2011, which increased 18.6% year on year.
The CNCRC reported that the increased cultivated area and specific yield lead to the growth of domestic cotton output.
The USDA reported on July that the output of cotton in China is expected higher than 7,190,000 tons and China is the biggest cotton consumption and import country.
CNCRC said that the cultivated area of domestic cotton is totally 5,300,000 hectare. The unit output increased 9.3% to 1.4 ton.
Previously, the CCA reported that the cotton cultivated area will be 5,400,000 tons in 2011, which increased 5.2% year on year, because of the growth of cotton price in the beginning of the year.
