July 21, 2011-The Polyester Yarn Price Slightly Increases

The polyester yarn price slightly increased in Jiangsu Market. A local direct spinning manufacturer in Shengze increased some of FDY and DTY products by 100 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted acceptance price of FDY 50D/24F for 16900 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/144F for 15700 Yuan/ton. Another melt spinning manufacturer also increased some of the products by 100 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted light FDY 50D/24F for 16200 Yuan/ton by cash and semi-dull FDY 55D/24F for 16300 Yuan/ton by acceptance. Another manufacturer doesn’t accept orders today and they are waiting for the new prices. The polyester yarn price is adjusting slightly in Taicang. A local leading manufacturer increased some of POY products by 100 Yuan/ton and stabilized the FDY products’ prices. Now they quoted FDY 50D/48F for 16500 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/144F for 15300 Yuan/ton by cash remittance. Manufacturers reported that recent sales volume fell back and production-marketing was around 80% yesterday.

The polyester yarn price is stable in Zhejiang Market. A leading manufacturer in Xiao Shan stabilized the quotations and quoted FDY 61D/24F for 15400 Yuan/ton and DTY 150D/48F low-stretch for 16100 Yuan/ton. Another manufacturer quoted DTY 300D/96F for 15100 Yuan/ton. The other POY manufacturer also stabilized the quotations and quoted POY 150D/144F for 14960 Yuan/ton. The polyester yarn price slightly increased in Shao Xing market. One of the local leading manufacturers increased the prices of some FDY products and now they quoted FDY 50D/48F for 16300 Yuan/ton and FDY 50D/36F for 16000 Yuan/ton. The polyester yarn price is adjusting in Tong Xiang. Local leading manufacturers unchanged the quotations of the ordinary yarn, but increased black yarn and cation yarn of POY and FDY by 100 Yuan/ton. Now one of them quoted DTY 150D/144F light-web for 17000 Yuan/ton and the other manufacturer quoted POY 75D/72F for 16000 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported that the production and marketing was balanced yesterday.

Although the upstream polyester feedstocks go weak recently, and the storage of the polyester yarn manufacturers is low, the production-marketing of the yarn manufacturers begin to weaken and the downstream fabrics market also goes down. Therefore, the polyester yarn price is predicted to be stable in a short term.
