July 12, 2011-The Polyester Yarn Price Is Adjusting in China

In Jiangsu Market, the polyester yarn price is in stalemate today. Local manufacturers in Shengze stabilized the quotations. Amelt spinning manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/72F for 17400 Yuan/ton. The other manufacturer quoted light FDY 40D/24F for 16000 Yuan/ton and FDY 50D/48F for 15600 Yuan/ton by cash. Manufacturers reported that early trading atmosphere was as usual and the straddle attitude became strong in the downstream market. The polyester yarn price in Taicang keeps steady. One of the local manufacturers quoted POY 150D/144F for 14800 Yuan/ton and FDY 50D/24F for 15500 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers said trading volume in the early market was ordinary.

In Zhejiang Market, the polyester yarn price slightly increased. The prices partially increased in Xiao Shan. Now one of the local manufacturers in Xiao Shan quoted FDY 150D/96F for 14000 Yuan/ton and FDY 300D/96F 14000 Yuan/ton. Another POY manufacturer quoted POY 75D/36F for 14700 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/144F for 14600 Yuan/ton. A local manufacturer in Shao Xing quoted light FDY 50D/24F for 15400 Yuan/ton and FDY 68D/24F for 14600 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported that the production-marketing fell back but the overall situation was good. The polyester price in Tong Xiang partially increased 100 Yuan/ton. One leading manufacturer increased DTY 150D/144F by 100 Yuan/ton and some of FDY products and POY products by 100 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted DTY150D/144F light-web for 16750 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported the inquiring atmosphere in the early market was good.

Influenced by the strengthened semi-dull polyester chips recently, the production-marketing of the polyester yarn manufacturers rose back yesterday. Hence, part of the manufacturers increased the quotations. However, the overall demand in the downstream market is still weak, so the increasing space of the polyester yarn prices will not be great.
