July 8, 2011-The Polyester Partially Increased in China

In Jiangsu Market, the polyester yarn slightly increased today. A local direct spinning manufacturer increased some of FDY and DTY products by 100 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted FDY 50D/48F for 16600 Yuan/ton (6-month acceptance) and DTY 150D/144F for 17000 Yuan/ton (6-month acceptance). Another melt spinning manufacturer increased some of the DTY products by 100-200 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted FDY 50D/72F for 17400 Yuan/ton. The other manufacturer stabilized the quotations and quoted light FDY 40D/24F for 16000 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported that the production-marketing obviously decreased yesterday. The polyester yarn price in Taicang keeps steady, only those manufacturers who were short in supply appropriately increased the quotations. One of the local manufacturers increased the POY products by 100 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted POY 150D/144F for 14800 Yuan/ton and FDY 50D/24F for 15500 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers said early inquiring atmosphere improved.

In Zhejiang Market, the polyester yarn price is mainly steady. A leading manufacturer in Xiao Shan unchanged the quotations. Now they quoted FDY 61D/24F for 15000 Yuan/ton and DTY 75D/72F for 18600 Yuan/ton. Another POY manufacturer quoted POY 150D/144F for 14500 Yuan/ton. A local manufacturer in Shao Xing quoted light FDY 50D/24F for 15400 Yuan/ton and FDY 68D/24F for 14600 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported that they were not optimistic about the afterward market and the margins were good at present. Therefore, they will focus on the selling amount rather than changing the prices and they may cut the previous privileges. The polyester price in Tong Xiang is also steady. Now one of the leading manufacturer quoted DTY 150D/48F low-stretch for 15850 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/144F 14850 Yuan/ton with acceptance. The manufacturer said yesterday’s production-marketing was around 110%. The production of DTY products is greatly influenced by the electricity limit policies and yesterday’s outage rate was around 30-60%.

Influenced by the rebound of international oil price, the overall market price is generally steady. Partially short-supply products had proper increment. However, most insiders agree that the afterward market will go weak. The production-marketing of polyester yarn manufacturers began to decreased from yesterday, which means this run of covering is going to the end, so recent trend of polyester yarn price will mainly be in adjustment.
