June 16, 2011-The Polyester Yarn Price Goes Weak in China

The polyester yarn price is mainly steady in Jiangsu Market. The local manufacturers in Shengze unchanged the quotations. Now the direct spinning manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/48F for 16,900 Yuan/ton (6-month acceptance). Another manufacturer quoted light FDY 40D/24F for 16,300 Yuan/ton by cash. Manufacturers reported that the early inquiry was weak. Leading manufacturers in Taicang also stabilized the quotations. A local manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/24F for 15,900 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/144F for 15,000 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers said that the yesterday’s production-marketing was as usual around 60-70%.

The polyester yarn price tends to be weak in Zhejiang Market. A local manufacturer in Xiao Shan generally decreased the prices by 100 Yuan/ton and now they quoted POY 75D/36F for 15,560 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/144F for 14,560 Yuan/ton. Another leading manufacturer quoted DTY 150D/144F micro-web for 16,400 Yuan/ton. The polyester yarn’s price keeps unchanged in Tong Xiang. Now a local manufacturer quoted low-stretch DTY 150D/48F for 16,150 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/144F for 15,150 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported that the production-marketing was around 95% yesterday.

The international oil price greatly decreased yesterday. Influenced by this, the polyester material price may go weak today. Besides, the market demand is insufficient nowadays and the production-marketing of the polyester yarn manufacturers are decreasing day by day. Therefore, it is predicted that some manufacturers who want to have more selling quantities may give out some privileges.
