June 13, 2011-The Polyester Price Is Steady in China

The polyester price is steady in Jiangsu Market today. Local manufacturers in Shengze all unchanged the quotations. Now the direct spinning manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/48F for 16,900 Yuan/ton (6-month acceptance). Another melt spinning manufacturer quoted semi-dull FDY 50D/72F for 17,400 Yuan/ton and light FDY 75D/36F for 15,800 Yuan/ton. The other leading manufacturer quoted light FDY 40D/24F for 16,300 Yuan/ton by cash. Manufacturers reported that the sales were in average last weekend and the production-marketing was around 80%. The polyester price is also steady in Taicang Market. Now a local manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/24F for 15,900 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/144F for 15,000 Yuan/ton.  

The polyester yarn price slightly increased in Zhejiang Market today. The leading manufacturer in Xiao Shan generally increased DTY and POY products by 100 Yuan/ton and now they quoted DTY 150D/144F for 16,400 Yuan/ton, micro-web DTY 75D/144F for 19,900 Yuan/ton and POY 75D/36F for 16,000 Yuan/ton. Another POY manufacturer also stabilized the quotations and quoted POY 75D/36F for 15,650 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/48F for 14,450 Yuan/ton. The polyester yarn price slightly increased in Tong Xiang Market. A local leading manufacturer generally increased POY products by 50 Yuan/ton and quoted POY 150D/144F for 15,150 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported that the production-marketing was balanced in the weekend.

At present, the profit of the polyester yarn manufacturers is good and the demand of the downstream market is strong. Therefore, it is predicted that the polyester yarn price will mainly be steady, but the manufacturer will still increase the prices of some short-supplying products in order to make the whole market uptrend.
