June 2, 2011-The Polyester Price Steadily Increased Today In China

The polyester yarn price continues to increase in Jiangsu Market today. A leading direct manufacturer in Shengze stabilized the FDY and POY prices and increased some of the DTY products by 100-200 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted DTY 75D/72F for 18,900 Yuan/ton (6-month acceptance) and FDY 50D/24F for 15,500 Yuan/ton. Another melt spinning manufacturer keep the quotations unchanged and quoted FDY 50D/72F for 16,700 Yuan/ton and light-web DTY 75D/144F for 18,900 Yuan/ton. The other manufacturer quoted semi-dull FDY 75D/72F for 14,500 Yuan/ton. The polyester yarn price slightly increased in Taicang Market. One of the local leading manufacturers quoted FDY 50D/24F for 15,600 Yuan/ton by cash; POY 75D/144F for 16,400 Yuan/ton and 150D/144F for 14,550 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported that the inquiries were good in the morning.

The overall polyester yarn price is uptrend in Zhejiang Market. A leading polyester yarn manufacturer in Xiao Shan increased some of DTY products by 100 Yuan/ton and some of FDY products by 100-200 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted FDY 66D/24F for 14,400 Yuan/ton and low-stretch DTY 150D/48F for 16,100 Yuan/ton. Another POY manufacturer generally increased the quotations by 100 Yuan/ton and quoted POY 75D/36F for 15,360 Yuan/ton by cash and POY 150D/48F for 14,100 Yuan/ton by cash. The polyester yarn price slightly increased in Tong Xiang, China. One of the local manufacturers increased cation yarn of POY and DTY by 50 Yuan/ton and other series by 100 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted POY 75D/72F for 15,750 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/144F for 14,500 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported that the production-marketing rose back to 120% yesterday.

At present, the prices of upstream polyester material including PTA and MEG are going strong. Influenced by this, the price of semi-dull polyester chips also rebounded in China today. Now the leading manufacturers on market quoted the acceptance price at 12,100 Yuan/ton. Besides, the stocking amount of the manufacturers is generally low at present, and some of the products even became out of supplying. Therefore, it is predicted that the polyester yarn will continue to increase recently.
