-The Quotations Are Steady except Some Slight Change
The polyester yarn prices continued to go weak in Jiangsu market, and many manufacturers stabilized the quotations; only some manufacturers who quoted highly before decrease the prices today. A local direct spinning manufacturer in Shengze keeps the previous quotations. Now they quoted FDY 50D/24F for 16,100 Yuan/ton (6-month Acceptance) and DTY 75D/72F for 19,200 Yuan/ton. Another melt spinning manufacturer also unchanged the quotations and quoted semi-dull FDY 45D/24F for 17,800 Yuan/ton. The other manufacturer quoted light FDY 40D/24F for 16,300 Yuan/ton and FDY 50D/48F for 15,600 Yuan/ton. The polyester prices are weakly adjusting in Taicang market. A local manufacturer stabilized the FDY prices and slightly decreased POY quotation. Now they quoted POY 150D/144F for 14,400 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported that the production-marketing can be balanced yesterday, but it of POY was weakly around 70%.
The polyester price is weakly consolidating in Zhejiang market. A leading POY manufacturer in Xiao Shan generally reduced the DTY quotations by 100 Yuan/ton and decreased some FDY products by 100-300 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted DTY 300D/96F for 15,000 Yuan/ton and FDY 75D/72F for 15,400 Yuan/ton. Another POY manufacturer’s quotations keep steady. Now they quoted POY 150D/144F for 14,160 Yuan/ton by cash. The polyester price keeps steady in Tong Xiang market. Local leading manufacturers unchanged the quotations. Now one of them quoted POY 75D/72F for 16,050 Yuan/ton and 150D/144F for 14,450 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported that yesterday’s marketing-production was as usual and around 90%.
The international oil price dramatically increased yesterday. In NYMEX, the futures price of light crude oil delivered by June greatly rebounded 5.73 dollars to 102.55 dollars per barrel at the close and the increasing rate was 5.53%. In London Market, the futures price of North Sea Brent oil delivered by June surged 6.77 dollars to 115.09 dollars per barrel and the increasing rate was 6.20%. The closing price of Asian PX price was 1508.50-1509.50 dollars/ton FOB Korea and 1528.50-1529.50 dollars/ton CFR Taiwan. The price increased 11 dollars compared with last trading day. Therefore, it is predicted that the polyester material price will also rebound today and under the cost support, the polyester price will mainly be consolidating these days.
