-The Polyester Price Cannot Stop Decreasing
The polyester yarn prices continued to go weak in Jiangsu market, and many manufacturers began to decrease the quotations. A local direct spinning manufacturer in Shengze continues to decrease the quotations by 200-300 Yuan/ton generally. Now they quoted FDY 50D/24F for 16,100 Yuan/ton and DTY 75D/72F for 19,200 Yuan/ton. Another melt spinning manufacturer decreased the quotation by 100-400 Yuan/ton generally too. Now they quoted semi-dull FDY 45D/24F for 17,800 Yuan/ton. The polyester prices decreased in Taicang market. A local manufacturer decreased POY quotation by 100-200 Yuan/ton and also is adjusting the FDY prices. Now they quoted POY 150D/144F for 14,400 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported that the straddle attitude was strong in the downstream market and the production-marketing was only about 60%.
The polyester price continued to go down in Zhejiang market. A leading POY manufacturer in Xiao Shan generally reduced the quotations by 100 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted POY 150D/144F for 14,160 Yuan/ton and FDY 75D/36F for 14,600 Yuan/ton. Another leading manufacturer decreased FDY 50D to 60D by 400 Yuan/ton and other specification by 200 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted FDY 150D/96F for 14,100 Yuan/ton. The polyester yarn price slightly went weak in Tong Xiang market. A leading manufacturer there generally decreased the quotation by 100 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted POY 75D/72F for 16,050 Yuan/ton and 150D/144F for 14,450 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers reported that the sales were week in the weekend and the production-marketing was around 80%.
Because of the continuous weakness of the international oil price last weekend, the polyester material also keep weak too in the upstream market. Influenced by these, the production-marketing of the polyester yarn was low in Jiangsu-Zhejiang market last weekend. Under the joint pressure of cost and stock, it is predicted that the polyester yarn price will still be weak this week.
