The polyester price keeps adjusting in Jiangsu market. The quotations were in stalemate in Shengze market. Now a local direct spinning manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/24F for 17,800 Yuan/ton (6-month acceptance) and DTY 75D/72F for 20,400 Yuan/ton (6-month acceptance). Another melt spinning manufacturer now quoted semi-dull FDY 40D/24F for 19,200 Yuan/ton and FDY 50D/24F 17,400 Yuan/ton by cash. The other manufacturer quoted light FDY 40D/24F for 17,500 Yuan/ton and FDY 50D/48F for 17,000 Yuan/ton. The POY prices keep steady in Taicang market. Now a local manufacturer quoted POY 75D/72F for 17,050 Yuan/ton by cash remittance. The manufacturers in Taicang tend to decrease the price of FDY products, but the practical rate is not certain yet.
The polyester price tends to be weak in Zhejiang market. The quotations in Xiao-Shao Market mostly keep steady. A local manufacturer in Xiao Shan quoted FDY 15D/96F for 14,600 Yuan/ton by acceptance and micro-web DTY 150D/144F for 16,500 Yuan/ton by acceptance. Another POY manufacturer quoted POY 150D/144F for 14,300 Yuan/ton. A local mainstream manufacturer in Shao Xing quoted FDY 118D/96F for 14,500 Yuan/ton. The polyester price went weak in Tong Xiang market. A local manufacturer decreased the prices of semi-dull FDY 75D series and below products by 500 Yuan/ton; light 75D series and below decreased 200 Yuan/ton; POY 75D/72F decreased 100 Yuan/ton and compounded yarn increased 100 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted POY 75D/72F for 16,350 Yuan/ton. Yesterday’s production-marketing is around 120%-130%.
Although April’s settlement prices of upstream polyester materials all disclosed highly, the supportive power upon the recent polyester prices in Jiangsu-Zhejiang market is still weak. Because of the increasing of the stock pressure, the leading direct spinning manufacturers all give promotions with cutting the prices, especially for the FDY fine denier products. Therefore, I think leading by the mainstream manufacturers here, the polyester prices may keep decreasing in Jiangsu-Zhejiang market.
