- Marketing became weak, the prices still keep decreasing

Today’s polyester yarn prices are mainly steady in Jiangsu market. For example, except one of the mainstream manufacturers in Shengze decreased the quotations of DTY and POY products by 200 Yuan/ton and decreased the price of FDY products by 500 Yuan/ton because of the previously high prices, other polyester yarn manufacturers stabilized the quotations; Now a melt spinning manufacturer quoted DTY 75D/144F for 20,600 Yuan/ton and semi-light 40D/24F for 20,000 Yuan/ton. Another direct spinning manufacturer quoted FDY 50D/24F for 17,500 Yuan/ton and DTY 75D/72F for 20,300 Yuan/ton. The manufacturers reported that the ordering intention of the weaving factories was strong. In the practical transactions, incentives are increased. Besides the one-hundred-Yuan discount of the products, a local melt spinning manufacturer also accepts the acceptance draft as cash. The polyester price is steady in Taicang. A local manufacturer quoted FDY75D/36F for 16,000 Yuan/ton and POY 75D/72F 17, 250 Yuan/ton by cash remittance. The polyester price keeps unchanged in Zhang Jiagang. Now a local manufacturer quoted light FDY 40D/24F for 18,200 Yuan/ton with a 100-yuan discount in the practical transaction.

The polyester price went weak today in Zhejiang Market. A local manufacturer in Xiao Shan decreased the price of FDY products by 100-200 Yuan/ton. Now they quoted FDY 66D/24F for 16,300 Yuan/ton and FDY 75D/36F 15,900 Yuan/ton. And other manufacturers decreased the price of DTY products by 100-500 Yuan/ton; now they quoted the acceptance price of DTY 150D/288F for 17,600 Yuan/ton. The other mainstream POY manufacturer stabilized the quotations and they give 100-200 Yuan/ton discount in practical transactions. The polyester prices keep steady in Shao Xing. Now a local manufacturer quoted FDY 75D/36F for 16,000 Yuan/ton and the production-marketing was around 80-90%. The polyester prices are unchanged in Tong Xiang market. A local manufacturer quoted POY 150D/144F for 15,100 Yuan/ton and POY 150D/48F 14,800 Yuan/ton. Manufacturers said the production-marketing was balanced yesterday.

The PTA futures price continues to decrease yesterday in ZCE and kept dropping at the opening today. The price of polyester chips also fell back in Jiangsu-Zhejiang market which already decreased to 12,900 Yuan/ton in the downstream market. However, went through yesterday’s price decrease, the production-marketing of the polyester manufacturers had a little increase. It is obvious that the weaving factories in the downstream market are positive about the material prices. Therefore, the polyester price will mainly be weakly consolidating in a short term.
